      Summary

When using the Column Macro, it is impossible to resize (change width) of tables and images.

      Environment

      Confluence Cloud with Fabric Editor

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create page in Fabric Editor
      2. Add Column Macro
      3. Add table or image in a column

      Expected Results

The user is able to resize and manipulate tables and images just as if columns were not used.

      Actual Results

The user cannot resize or manipulate tables or images.

      Workaround

      • Drag-and-drop or copy the table or image to a portion of the page where you do not use columns, then resize table/image, before moving the table/image back to its column.

Please fix this, I really need to be able to specify image sizes manually.

This limitation also means we no longer have the ability to center images within a table, which is very problematic. The image is left-justified by default, with no way to center it within the table cell. Previously we could center images within a table cell just like we could center text, using the text toolbar.

I frequently add images within a table in the Product Requirements template. When writing requirements for mobile and web-related projects, having an image available within the table cell beats having to scroll down and associate a disconnected image in some other part of the document with a requirement.

This use to work fine in the old editor, but now my PRDs look terrible. Please fix!

Also, the use of a thumbnail, where you can size down the image in the requirement cell, but click to open larger, would be ideal in this situation.

Have retested now, and it appears to work a lot better. Thanks!

thomas.ohrbom we've recently made some fixes to table resizing. Would you be willing to give tables inside columns another try?
