The column width adjustment is not reflected in the new editor

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a table in the new editor(or create a page using the Meeting Note blueprint)
      2. Click and drag the line between the columns to change the width of columns
      3. Publish the page

      Expected Results

The column width is changed as configured

      Actual Results

The column width will differ from the user configuration

      Note

This is similar with CONFCLOUD-65142 but this problem happens even if the Numbered column
      is not used

[CONFCLOUD-65284] The column width adjustment is not reflected in the new editor

Just revert to the old editor while you fix this piece of shit before you all get fired!

While it is great that this fix is out, I have two issues :

            1) I have more than 1 Confluence site I am involved with, and due to your limited rollout of updates (confirmed by support), one site is updated, and the other is not. This makes it a real joy to switch between sites to do work.

            2) I have no way of seeing which version or updates have been applied to a site (confirmed by support)

            Please advise.

We released a fix for this yesterday which should have resolved this issue. Please let us know if you encounter anything similar.

Closing this one out for now.

            Thanks,

This is certainly an area that needs attention.

While the previous version of tables had many issues which are now resolved, at least it would recall the column widths.

We use multiple tables in our pages as the structure we have adopted for certain documentation. Not being able to control the width of columns in this latest version is a major issue.

I do however appreciate the dilemma of how to have a table which is both "fixed" in size, but also able to deal with the page width changing as the screen area size changes.

            I suggest as follows:

            1) Each column can be set to either auto (default) / fixed width.

            2) In the case of fixed width, you can use your mouse to set the width and it will remember it.

            3) To allow a table (with fixed width columns) to still scale overall in width to the screen width, the user just leaves one of the columns as auto.

(The above assumes you are using the table in "Full Width" mode)
