Summary
Numbered Columns becomes wide when adjusting the width of the table.
It looks narrow in Edit mode but when published it becomes distorted
Environment
- hello.atlassian.net
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a page
- In edit mode, create a table
- The table settings, add numbered columns
- Adjust the width of the table (any column will do)
- Publish the page
Expected Results
Numbered columns will be narrow as shown in Edit mode
Actual Results
The numbered columns gets wide based on the adjustment of the table width
Notes
It happens when you adjust the width of the columns in the table.
Confluence puts a "colgroup" element at the top of the table which specifies the width of each column. However, when a numbered column is added to a three-column table, there's only three "col" elements, instead of four. The width for the first content column is applied to the numbered column instead.
Workaround
N/A
Adding a new table with a numbered column helped. I published it, then removed the extra table and published it again.
