Summary
Intermittently, at random intervals (no pattern indentified so far), Confluence sends multiple notifications for the same event (e.g. a page update, a like, a comment, etc).
Steps to Reproduce
- Watch a page
- A different user updates the watched page
Expected Results
You get one email notification for the event
Actual Results
The same notification is received multiple times
Notes
- This seems to be a re-occurrence of
CONFCLOUD-58452. - It looks like the notification jobs are erroring out and aree re-queued, despite actually sending the email - this is what leads to multiple emails being sent
- Lots of errors in logs are found related to the notification batch job (rendering timeout, tenant context) - although it is unclear whether this is leading to the notifications being re-queued
