       Hey everyone,

Thanks for voting on this issue and letting us know what is important for your needs.
We have now disallowed anonymous users to see "space settings" unless anonymous users have space export or space admin permissions for the space.

This article talks about a way to achieve this on Confluence Server and points out it's not possible to use the same solution in Confluence Cloud.

Could another approach be offered for Confluence Cloud? As an admin, right now the pencil icon along the sidebar allows me to hide other things such as the Blog or Overview. It sure would be great if we could do the same for Space Tools.

The use case is that we're considering moving our public docs site to Confluence, but the Space Tools exposes some internal stuff (e.g. names of Administrators) that we're not really keen to open up to the world.

            Is this feature still active?
My setup is view-only for anonymous users and they can still see the settings button.

Hello Alice. Im currently trying to setup a public Confluence space to use as a WIKI for my customers. Currently I can't find any way to "hide space settings for all anonymous users". You wrote this the first of July. Is this change implemented or is it still in progress?

            Looking forward to your response.

            Hey folks,

Although I believe that the whole anonymous user experience should be addressed holistically and that space settings is fairly outdated and needs a refresh, for now a quick fix would be to update the behaviour to hide space settings for all anonymous users unless they have space export or space admin permission.

This change is in progress and I hope to get this out promptly.

+1 . Absolutely stunned that this is implemented the way it currently is.

Giving Anonymous users access to a Space is really useful, but the decisions about which pages they can see appear to be somewhat inconsistent. I'd like to see Anonymous users get access only to the current version of the page with abilities to export but not, for example, to see page history or Space Settings.

I'd also like things like "Convert Gliffy Diagrams" to appear only for logged-in users. Anonymous users can't operate this feature, so even showing it makes no sense.

This also raises a security concern, because external users can extract e-mails from the activity log, so this would be a really good feature to have for public pages.

Same request, except that we have a user login. This is a documentation Wiki, but we do not want to expose it as Confluence. We simply do not want to move the documentation to another site.

Would be good to have a public facing wiki option, that hides "+" and Space settings.

I have the same use case and am also looking for a solution.
