Description
With the upgrade to the new look of confluence, the side-bar requires some additional hops in the interface that can be confusing and frustrating to use.
Because the sidebar functions as an immutable interface item, the fact that the context changes the available options so widely makes the sidebar feel like it is not the place to look for what you want.
Currently, it is not possible to navigate to specific pages via the page tree from the space home page. Furthermore the ability to jump to the Space tools without first returning to the space-level context via the "<-- Pages" button.
This makes the customer experience seem fragmented into a "space" level context and a "page" level context that could be improved by allowing one to have the control that they need available at all times.
To resolve this I propose the following changes:
- Add the space tools navigation into the three-line menu (the one that allows switching apps)
- Add the page tree as an expandable control to the side-bar. Space shortcuts are nice, but it would be better to have the pages easily available for navigation at all times.
