Allow user profiles to be customised

      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      A customer has requested the ability to customise user profiles.

      That way they can easily add specific information (e.g. IM addresses, roles, departments, industry, etc.) to their user profiles consistenly across all user profiles as time progresses and their needs evolve.

      Perhaps a solution like that used for JIRA's custom fields and screens would be suitable.

            Also interested in this feature... basically would love to build something similar to the Amazon phonetool (= enmployee directory), with description, dynamic org tree and badges for accomplishments / participation, positional history in the company etc.  User profiles for confluence and possibly Linchpin as well,  seem to do the trick, nevertheless 500 - 3000 USD per year seems a bit over the top for something that is practical, but still just a nice to have for small to mid size companies.

            Although there are nowadays a couple of plugins available to solve this problem amicably, as a cloud user you are severly limited in that matter.
            Why are those not working? I would even pay for a suitable solution. But actually defining and managing the fields you want to have, should be something confluence should deliver.

            We also need this capability. In today's age, the mobile number can often be the most important number. This is almost a baseline requirement.

            Hi, we are looking for more user profile fields (mobile, fax ...) too. This is a minimum requirement on any social media platform.

            We will use the personal space like a phone book ... Who is and What are the details (picture, address, business and privat phone and mobil phone no....)
            I'm looking forward and hope for the implementation of some more fields
