When importing components from JSM to Compass, service type is not retained but is defaulted to Software Services

      Issue Summary

      If a JSM component's service type defined as "Capabilities" is imported into Compass via manual import, the component's service type is imported as "Software Services".

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a Service in JSM and define it's service type as "Capabilities"
      2. From Compass, manually import this service into compass.
      3. Check that the recently imported service has service type "Software Services"

      Expected Results

      • Imported components should retain its service type.

      Actual Results

      • Imported component becomes "Software services"

      Workaround

      • Update recently imported component's service type to reflect the original type.

            Our ITSM team are working through a CMDB piece to improve tracking of Incidents against Services in future, and this is also in collaboration with our DevEx team who are ramping up use of Compass in our Org. We were expecting that when importing a component from JSM Services to compass, that the same service type would be reflected when brought into Compass as a component. Appreciate the team confirming and logging this issue. Hopefully can be addressed soon.
