Importing from Gitlab Forge App while assigning a Custom Component Type will not be possible as it is not supported.

This suggestion is to add a support for custom component types via the Gitlab Forge App Importer

Workaround:

Users can first import components using a built-in component type. Subsequently, users can change the type to a custom type.
