Would be good to have Tier 0 components to Compass to better classify and manage mission-critical services that require the highest levels of availability, reliability, and performance.

The introduction of Tier 0 in Compass will provide a clearer way to manage and monitor mission-critical services, ensuring that organizations can better prioritize and safeguard their most important systems.

[COMPASS-39] Support for Tier 0 Components in Compass

ksilver Thanks for your email response. We are adopting the new Tier nomenclature as per AWS model described here, and we are marking critical infrastructure services as Tier 0.

I would appreciate it if you can provide an ETA for this so that we can plan our service tiering accordingly. It would be ideal for us if it can be done this month (sooner the better).

For our use-case we model our tiers on AWS - See https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/mt/establishing-rpo-and-rto-targets-for-cloud-applications/

Tier 0 is our infrastructure, Tier 1 is critical apps and so on down the line. We have five tiers for our set of services - Tier 0 - Tier 4 and use those to determine the availability and recovery (RTO) criteria.

Could we prioritize this ? From our perspective, it should be pretty simple to add 1 option.

Building on this, if we could make the field configurable, so that users can define their own tiers that would be help even more.

Currently we already have adopted Tier 1,2,3,4 and need Tier 0 for mission critical services. Having to redefine all services (140+) that we have put in compass is going to be difficult as it would create significant confusion.
