Summary

Viewing or accessing attachments within JIRA or Confluence Cloud on Internet Explorer 11.x is returning the error:

"Ouch! We can't load the PDF.
/secure/attachment/..pdf

Steps to replicate

1. Open Issue with PDF attached or a Confluence page with an attachments linked, with Internet Explorer 11.x
2. Click on to display the PDF preview

Expected Result

• Able to preview the PDF within the browser

Actual Result

Unable to generate the PDF preview
Error "Ouch! We can't load the PDF as per attached image:

Workaround

1. Go to Internet options
2. Go to Security tab
3. Click on Internet Icon and click on Custom Level
4. Scroll to the middle of the Security Settings, under Miscellaneous, enable "Access data sources across domain"
