Problem
Users with no activity (i.e comments, assigned, mentions) and groups cannot be deleted from Confluence-only instances. The error message is thrown:
Error communicating with Confluence: Unauthorized
Cause
Request made by OnDemand user management fails to get validated.
Steps to reproduce
- Create new user or group.
- Try deleting the user/group.
Workaround
- Deactivate users by removing all groups and application access from the user to free up required license.
- Deactivate a group by removing all users from it and removing it from all permissions.
***Note: This only affects Confluence-only OnDemand instances.
