Description
Issue Summary
Customers are currently unable to change their org names containing the following characters:
@,/,:,.
If customers attempt this, they will only be presented with an error message saying "Unable to rename organization. Try again later." without any clear next steps.
Steps to Reproduce
- Change the organization name to something that contains the characters above
Expected Results
An error message prompts and tells the customer why the org name is not accepted
Actual Results
Just an error message saying "Unable to rename organization. Try again later." but in the console, we can see the following error message:
Validation failed for argument [0] in public org.springframework.http.ResponseEntity<?> com.atlassian.orgmanager.web.resources.enduser.OrganizationResource.renameOrganization(com.atlassian.orgmanager.web.model.RenameOrganizationEntity): [Field error in object 'renameOrganizationEntity' on field 'name': rejected value [Gataca España S.L.]; codes [OrganizationNameConstraint.renameOrganizationEntity.name,OrganizationNameConstraint.name,OrganizationNameConstraint.java.lang.String,OrganizationNameConstraint]; arguments [org.springframework.context.support.DefaultMessageSourceResolvable: codes [renameOrganizationEntity.name, name]; arguments []; default message [name]]; default message [Organization name cannot contain the following character @,/,:,.]]
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
