    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      Summary

Currently sandboxes will start from the tier according to the licensing on the production instance.

For example: If you have Jira Software Premium and Jira Service Management Free, you will be able to have the same set up on a sandbox.

But, you can also end-up upgrading the tier of the Free product:

      • Still on the previous example, If you end up adding more agents to JSM and goes beyond the 3 agents limit for the Free tier your sandbox will have JSM upgraded to Standard automatically, which will then require payment
      • If that happens, there is no easy way to revert back
        • You cannot manage the billing of sandbox instances
        • The license will not revert back even if you reduce the number of agents back to 3

At this time the only way to revert that scenario would be to delete the sandbox and start a new one from scratch.

      Suggestion

Provide a way to revert that scenario:

      • Either provide the ability to manage the sandbox billing
      • Or have the sandbox revert the licenses according to the license usage count
