Many Atlassian customers now use our Jira/Confluence/Jira Service Desk Cloud platform for 24x7, mission critical operations and even minor maintenance windows have a significant impact on their experience. In order to provide a Cloud service for this customer base we need to:
- Minimise the number of planned downtime changes that need to occur
- Give significant notice to the customer if any downtime is to occur
- Perform the planned downtime during a convenient time for the customer either through allowing them to choose, or performing it on the weekend during the evening according to the customer's timezone.
