Repos with large number of branches crashes Google Chrome browser

      When viewing a repo's branches page using the Google Chrome browser, if there are a large number of branches, the browser crashes more than 50% of the time. This does not happen with Firefox.

      I'm attaching a sample repo that causes the problem to manifest. It's a mostly empty repo with 102 branches.
