    Description

There are a number of small bugs and issues with the branch selector (the one that shows up in the top left of the file and commit repository tabs and in individual file views):

If the branch name is longer than fits in the button then there is no way to see it: the name is truncated and does not appear in the tooltip. The buttons should expand if there is space and the full name should appear in the tooltip (along with the keyboard short-cut information).

When you have a branch or tag selected opening the drop-down menu selects the correct tab and ensures the selected branch/tag is visible but it doesn't permanently highlight it, instead the first entry in the list is given the permanent highlight. Switching between the branch and tag tabs shows the first entry in the list permanently highlighted in both (even when it bares no relation to which branch or tag is currently supported).

The branch selector places a permanent highlight on one branch or tag (see above) and a mouse-over highlight. These are the same colour (maybe the mouse-over one should be paler and over-ride the permanent highlight).

The sorting of branches and tags is not consistent: I have two repositories with the same set of branches (master and three release branches all starting with the letter "o"), in one master comes first in another it comes second (in-between the three other branches starting with "o"). At the least this list should be sorted alphanumerically (probably case insensitive) and, personally, I'd like to see the currently selected default branch (e.g. master) come first.
