    • We collect Bitbucket feedback from various sources, and we evaluate what we've collected when planning our product roadmap. To understand how this piece of feedback will be reviewed, see our Implementation of New Features Policy.

We'd like to enable public sign-ups for our open-source Stash installation.

We have Crowd hooked into both our internal LDAP directory, as well as an extranet-only LDAP tree. With read/write support, users could create accounts directly from Stash.

This is currently supported by JIRA, where we have it enabled.

[BSERV-3680] Implement read/write support for Crowd directories

This would be very valuable to our ability to automate deprovisioning of users and management of user groups based on activity in Bitbucket.

Crowd users must be able to change their passwords while being logged in Bitbucket application. I am so surprised by how Bamboo and Bitbucket are not Crowd-friendly yet, really annoying.

Bitbucket is not behaving like Jira or Confluence, even all groups from external directories are shown. It would be useful to have this implemented. The issue reported here should not be regard as suggestion but as New Feature.
