Most (but not all) Atlassian apps have a version check to prevent users running old Stash servers with newer Stash-Home directory.
This can lead to instance becoming corrupted and also this wastes support/customer time.
Stash will now warn users when they are running an older version of the code against a home directory but it won't prevent Stash from starting up.
