            We've stopped using 12 and are required to move to 18, have db teams breathing down my neck about it.  Please just run the tests and certify it in next minor bb release.

            Bitbucket Product Owner,

            Is there any update on when Oracle 18C will be supported?

            We are doing long term planning and would an estimate on when this suggestion will progress to the next status or rejected. How much user interest is need before a decision is made?

            Atlassian team,

            Considering the fact that Oracle 12c support will be ended on 31st July 2019. Do you have any timeline when will a Bitbucket server be released with Oracle 18c support?

            Oracle has told us that our extended support for Oracle 12c ends on 31th july 2019, so our Oracle DB platform must be upgraded, so we've a serious problem with our Bitbucket Server installation. Could you please provide Oracle 18c database compability ASAP!

            Correct me if I am wrong, but as far as I know:

            12c (edit: 12c R2) = 12.2.0.1

            18c = 12.2.0.2

            19c = 12.2.0.3 (yes, it's out already, while we still wait for Atlassian to support 18c in any of their Systems)

            It "should" only be minor changes, since they just changed the minor version and it "should" not be a problem, cause all of those "should" be backwards compatible.

            However running a couple of instances in  an Entprise environment with multiple thousand users can't be run with "should"s, unfortunately.

            It "should" not be that hard to exchange the  Oracle driver in the Atlassian instances if basically nothing really changes either

            Looking at the `Supported platforms` page on the Atlassian site (https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/supported-platforms-776640981.html#Supportedplatforms-databasesDatabases) Oracle 12c is listed. By extension, Oracle 18c should be supported since Oracle simply renamed Oracle 12c to Oracle 18c mid-release. You can see this in the blog post off of Oracle's blog site: https://blogs.oracle.com/database/oracle-database-18c-:-now-available-on-the-oracle-cloud-and-oracle-engineered-systems

            Hello Atlassian Bitbucket Product Owner,

            It's time to support Oracle 18 and 19. At this point you are putting enterprise customers that use Oracle Database at a security and support risk. This may have a deteremential impact on continued use Bitbucket Server. Please update this "Suggestion" or contact me ASAP.
