Knowing who really pushed the commit

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

Once a user authenticates himself, Bitbucket honors what Git tell us, therefore, if the user has a wrong configuration in his git configuration file, Bitbucket accepts it as the user was able to authenticate himself.

Would it be possible to change this behavior in Bitbucket Cloud and to add the commit author based on the authenticated user and not the git configuration file?
