It seems that any sort of link to a page archived by archive.org, like https://web.archive.org/web/20140327013003/http://jayrock.berlios.de/, does not work when encoded in Markdown. It seems that the URL embedded within a URL format used by archive.org is not being recognized as a valid URL and comes out wrong in the formatted HTML.
