Problem Definition
When saving a Bitbucket Server repository in Bamboo, the error message New access key is required but could not be added to Bitbucket Server is not always indicative of the actual problem.
For example, this can occur when the SSH key was successfully added via the Application Link to the Bitbucket Server repository however one of the below issues is causing a failure when testing the connection:
- Git SSH test failed to make a connection.
- Git executable couldn't be found / launched.
- Custom Git SSH executable couldn't be found / launched.
Suggested Solution
Communicate the underlying issue or exception to the UI when the error occurs.
