    • Type: Bug
    • Resolution: Fixed
    • Priority: Low
    • None
    • Affects Version/s: None
    • Component/s: Elastic Bamboo
    • None

      Symptoms:

Instances hosted on our SC1 infrastructure (run 'host example.atlassian.net' or 'nslookup example.atlassian.net' and look for ash1 or sc1 to identify) experience slowness during the publish artifacts phase of a Bamboo build. For example, uploading 50MB of artifacts takes around 400 seconds versus 15 seconds on other data centres.

      Steps to replicate:

      1. Create a build plan with https://bitbucket.org/matthewhunter/bigfile as the repo
      2. Add * to the artifact definitions
      3. Run a build

      Result:

Bamboo takes ~400 seconds to publish all artifacts

      Expected Result:

Bamboo takes ~15 seconds to publish all artifacts.

      Workaround:

      1. Copy your Bamboo AMI to the US West region
      2. Configure elastic bamboo to use the region US West.

      Update

We've also found it to be slow when connecting from ASH1 to Asia Pacific.
