Shared credentials for plan repositories, tasks, etc

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

Add a shared user credentials feature to Bamboo, similar to what Bamboo already has with shared repositories, so that there's a central place for user/password data. When you create a source repository that needs authentication, you can select the shared credentials from a drop down box "Authentication type" so there's no need to enter user and password directly.

What about Subversion repositories? These are still not supported (Bamboo 5.14.1).

Closing it as Bamboo 5.13 added user/password shared credentials for repositories. Usage of shared credentials for other screens like tasks, deployments is tracked in BAM-13919

This is one of the features I was sure will be available in Bamboo before we even started using it, but it's not.

We would be more than satisfied if there is a task of type "SSH-Agent Command" which would be a combination of an SSH Task and a Command task. It would run specified commands on Bamboo with the SSH key in the ssh-agent, so the commands which will be run can ssh to remote servers.

Later on it would be awesome to be able to define these credentialds/ssh keys per plan, so that it is easier to create multiple tasks which share the same credentials. It is very important to be able to define credentials per plan, because of security.
