Users are being added with User Product Role for all products in New User Settings

    • Severity 3 - Minor

      Issue Summary

When inviting a new user to the a site, the Invite User screen will try to add the email as with User Product Role for all existing products in the Organization by default.
The invitation screen is not respecting the settings from the New users have access to this product toggle in Product Access settings

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Go to User Management > Invite Users
      2. By default, the invite feature will provide the User Product Role for the user the admin is inviting.
      3. Even if the New users have access to this product toggle is off, from the invite screen, the new user will be added as User in this product as well

      Expected Results

When inviting new users to a site, the invitation feature should respect previous settings as the New users have access to this product toggled off and don't try to add new users with the User Product Role.
As it works in non-Vogue instances

      Actual Results

The new user receives an invite for all products from the Organization.

      Workaround

When inviting news users to your site, manually check and toggle off the User Product Role for those Products the user should not have access

[AX-57] Users are being added with User Product Role for all products in New User Settings

Unselect all product it is workaround only. Again we need to select product access manually  which product access want to give to End user. So, please ask Jira Dev team to fix this issue

We've added a 'Unselect all' button at the top of the user role list, so admins can quickly remove all the roles. This will be rolled out over the next few weeks, to all customers with the new admin.atlassian.com UI.

Hope it helps! Closing this ticket.

This is also useful based on my org needs. Focus on fixing new issues in new UI other wise give option to switch classic UI until fix the issue

            Hi Everyone,

With our move to the new User Management experience, the old 'New users get access to this product' toggle no longer has any affect on the Invite page.

We do have long term plans to improve and customise the invite settings for admins.

For the short term, we'll be introducing a quick way for admins to unselect all the roles on the invite page.

            Cheers,

            -Kieren
