When a group is linked to a team and vice versa, we are unable to fetch the linked item through the available Public APIs.
There are use cases and issues where we need to fetch the team based on the group selected. Teams are not supported for JSM portals and Assets. In such cases, the only workaround is to automate this through connected groups.
Both group APIs and the teams API don't expose this link.
We have https://developer.atlassian.com/platform/teams/rest/v1/api-group-externally-linked-teams-public-api/#api-public-teams-v1-org-orgid-teams-teamid-external-link-post to link an existing team to an external reference, but no API to fetch existing references.
There is no other way to fetch this at the moment. If available, this API can help as a workaround for many other requests.
