It’s not possible to use the smart value to access request type info. For example, in Classic issue.Request Type.links.web gives a link to the ticket on the portal. This renders nothing in Next-gen.

issue.url.customer is meant to be the same thing (link to the ticket on the portal) but also renders nothing.

Updates to the Jira Cloud Platform API will be required for this to function as expected.
