Add issue type filtering to the automation rule scope to limit how often it runs and avoid throttling

XMLWordPrintable

      Problem Definition

An automation rule can either be global or apply to one or many projects. The rule will fire for all issues types in those projects.

In some cases, the rule will run way too often and will be throttled.

      Suggested Solution

Add issue types to the rule scope to limit the execution occurrence and reduce the likelihood of the rule being throttled.

      Workaround

Reduce the scope of the rule execution via projects or triggers.
