Issue Summary
You can search for users in user picker fields across Jira using either the Display name or Email address as criteria.
Large companies are more like to have more than one individual with the same name and attempting to manage a Team without the ability to do so by email address can block some companies in using Teams.
Steps to Reproduce
- Navigate to Teams > Add a user to a team, or
- Search people and teams.
Expected Results
We would expect to be able to add team members via email address in addition to display name.
Actual Results
Adding individuals to a team, or searching for them, can only be done via a display name.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
