Upvote from me as well - surfacing these direct mentions in slack vs. buried in email would be a major improvement.
Is there a reason it is not implemented in Jira Server as well? It would be super useful for the everyday efficiency as the flow of emails is too much. Could there please be an update on a timeline when this will be applied?
It seems if the feature works in cloud it should easily be applied into server. Absolutely necessary for remote work.

Looking urgently for this functionality. E-Mail notifications for mentions are outdated and inefficient in todays (especially remote) workflows.
Does this still not work? It's April 2022 and I can't get a straight answer whether or not this is a feature or not.
very interested in this. I only check my email a few times during the day and often miss important @mentions in JIRA, resulting in delays in response. This needs to be in slack.
This needs to be implemented for SERVER too.
This was implemented for Cloud and then they closed the other ticket for server as a duplicate without implementing for server.
Slack notification about mentions would help much better project management as the emails that land in filtered folders. Please implement that feature soon!
+ 1 - Alot of times, emails end up into people filtered folders. Interested to have this feature in on prem JIRA.
Ditto to this–I want people to respond to their mentions in Jira and they're all already in Slack.
Hello, I'm looking forward to seeing this feature implemented in Jira Server for Slack since it's quite important for us to quickly react on mentions. Emails are not the best solution since they've proven themselves to be quite unreliable at times.
