User Problem
Currently there is not a way to automatically sync users' data source permission level to match their Jira project browsing permission level. Analytics datasource permissions override project browsing permissions that are configured separately in Jira.
This can require a considerable amount of manual configuration to ensure users only have permission to query for the projects that they can access in Jira. (i.e. User A has 3 projects browse permission, and I need to manually configure User A’s data source permission in Analytics.)
Suggested Solutions
Allow Analytics admins to sync the Atlassian Data Lake connection scope to match the Jira project browsing permission of teams/users added to the connection access.
Current Workarounds
Analytics Admin need to configure separate Atlassian Data Lake connections that match the scope of project browsing permissions in Jira for separate teams. Many teams requires many separate Atlassian Data Lake connections in order to ensure that each team can only query data from relevant Jira projects.
