Currently, when you click on the search results when it is a pdf, it will open the file preview of the pdf. If it's a user guide (i.e., a large document), then a person will then have to download the pdf, and then use Acrobat to text find off of Confluence. I'd like to request two potential approaches please.
1) Ideally, that it brings the user to the location(s) of the search term in the pdf document within the PDF file preview, or
2) You can use CTRL-F function to find the search term within the pdf preview.
- Currently, there is limited text find option under specific circumstance. For instance, if you were already using text find on a page, and then opened a pdf preview, you can actually use that still open function to search one item within a pdf (but it doesn't allow to enter additional terms).
Thank you.
This feature is very essential if we see in view of user experience. Because it seems it is very difficult to search keyword when the number of pages in PDF file is more. Confluence should treat this issue as urgent and most important..!
