Space Directory Filter Search Reserved Words cannot be searched

Summary

Searching for specific words in the Space name under the Space Directory Search Options "Filter" search box at:

• https://<INSTANCE_NAME>.atlassian.net/wiki/spacedirectory/view.action

Will return no results, using search terms such as:

• IT
• AND
• BUT
• THE
• A

Environment

• Discovered in Confluence Cloud Version 1000.110.0

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create 1 or more spaces with reserved Word in the title of the space:
2. Search for the reserved word in Space Directory >> Filter Search Box >> Enter

Expected Results

Space contains the word in Space Title is located, as the search is only parsing Space Titles and should return results regardless of common wording

Actual Results

No Results are found, and returns:

No results found for -. Please try one of the following suggestions:

• Use more general search terms or consult the online documentation for tips.
• If you are filtering by space, content, last modification date or contributor, try removing or adjusting the filter

Notes

Impact comes into play when Using the word "IT" to identify Spaces used by the "Information Technology" department under the Industry Standard acronym. The IT department cannot locate spaces with the IT tag, such as:

1. IT Security
2. IT Systems
3. IT Test
4. Documentation For IT
5. Test IT
6. IT_Test
7. TEST_IT
8. IT ... etc...

Workaround

Using the Site Wide Search in the upper right without hitting the Return/Enter Key will locate spaces under this naming convention, and will allow for partial search but does not return full list of the content:
