Scheduled jobs are blocked in Confluence

Summary

Confluence scheduled jobs queue is blocked which prevents automated indexing jobs to run. Therefore the All Updates page is no longer updated regularly and email notifications are not sent as well.

Other impacted features which are not working properly with the indexing jobs not running:

• all gathering macro's that rely on labels
• all gathering macro's that rely on content
• search results
• linking to existing pages is only possible if you know the issue is involved, and you type in exact names, and bypass warnings the link dialogs show

In addition, most user operations are blocked as well with a clogged queue:

• Space export/imports
• Space deletion

Steps to Reproduce

1. Make some modifications to your pages.
2. OR perform an export: either page/space as PDF/XML
3. OR try to delete a space

Expected Results

The All updates page displays an event that you modified some pages and an email notification is sent to watchers.
Exports/imports are completing properly as well as space deletion.

Actual Results

The All Updates page is unchanged. Indexing fail, new pages not shown in search. No notifications are sent.
Exports, imports, and space deletion are hanging and not completing.

Workaround

Contact Atlassian Cloud Support to schedule a downtime for Confluence in order to unclog the scheduled jobs queue.
