Description:
Currently, the AI button appears in the Jira Cloud interface even when AI features are not enabled. When clicked, it opens a “Try it Free” prompt. This causes confusion for users who may believe the feature is already available.

Administrators are requesting the ability to remove or hide this button entirely or at least limit visibility to admins.

Requested behavior:

• Provide an admin setting to hide or restrict the AI button visibility

• Allow it to be visible only to site-admins, or completely removed from the UI

Use case:

• Prevents confusion among end-users

• Helps maintain a controlled environment when AI is not in use

• Supports alignment with company policies regarding feature rollout
