Confluence
Issue Summary
Confluence search does not display partial search results
This is reproducible : yes
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a page with a title similar to "TheStory"
- Search the page using "Story"
- Observe the search results
Expected Results
The search result could partially match the page "TheStory" and list it in the results.
Actual Results
The search result does not display the "TheStory" page
Note: This behaviour is consistent across all the languages.
Workaround
Add a space between the two words which will help fetch the page through the search.
I hope this issue is resolved quickly. A correctly functioning search feature is quite necessary for a quality knowledge base. We document quite a bit about our network (to include server names, hostnames, FQDNs, etc.) and often it is not feasible to "add white space" around names as a workaround so the search function works. Partial matches should show as search results. For example if I have "mountoxford" on a page and search for "oxford" then that page should show up in the search results list (but as of today, it does not).
