      Issue Summary

There is an issue with the advanced search feature in Confluence when searching for attachments. Although you can use advanced search to find attachments, applying the filters for "content under" a specific parent page and the "attachment" type results in no search results, even when corresponding attachments exist.

You can watch this behavior in the recording below.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a parent page.
      2. Create a child page under the parent page.
      3. Upload an attachment to the child page.
      4. Navigate to the advanced search.
      5. Use the filters for "content under" the parent page and select "attachment" as the type.# Step 1
      6. Step 2

      Expected Results

The advanced search should display the attachment file located on the child page.

      Actual Results

The advanced search returns no results.

      Workaround

Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
