    Description

      Problem Definition

Inactive users (with active accounts but not seen for 90+ days) are counted towards Atlassian Access & product bills. This increases billable users and bothers customers. Atlassian docs suggest deactivating or revoking access, to free up licenses and mark users non-billable. However keeping on top of a large user base and periodically searching for users who have not accessed recently, deactivating/revoking the access of those users is a time-consuming activity for Org and site-admins.

      Suggested Solution

Automatically class users as non-billable if they have not been seen in the last 90 days. Apply this solution to all Atlassian products including Atlassian Access, Jira, Conf, Jira Service Management, Trello, Bitbucket etc.

      Why this is important

      • Allows org and site admins to manage billable users more effectively, by removing the overhead of requiring manual periodic analysis and deactivation/revocation of access of users not seen in the last 90 days.

      Workaround

      • Search for a manually deactivate/revoke access of users who have not been seen in the last 90 days, to free up licenses and class users as non-billable.
