No workaround for deactivated users after removing domain claim, other than re-verifying the domain

XMLWordPrintable

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Org admin verifies domain sample.com
      2. Org admin deactivates abc@sample.com
      3. Org admin removes domain sample.com
      4. A site admin invites abc@sample.com to site

      Expected Results

abc@sample.com cannot access the site, however they can re-activate their account by themselves

      Actual Results

abc@sample.com cannot access the site, also they cannot re-activate their account by themselves

      Suggested Solution

      • When the org admin tries to remove the domain claim, show a warning dialog with a list of the deactivated users and an option to enable them
      • If the domain is not claimed anymore, provide deactivated users an option to re-activate their account by themselves

      Workaround

Org admin can re-verify the domain and enable the afffected user. Note that re-verifying the domain re-claiming the user triggers a bulk email to all the users with the same domain
