Allow IdPs to Provision and Manage Atlassian Service Accounts

      Problem Definition

      Service accounts are a relatively new feature offered by Atlassian. Currently, Atlassian service accounts cannot be provisioned or managed through any IdP. SA must be created and managed directly within the Atlassian admin hub. 

       

      This is a known limitation, and service accounts are intentionally separated from the IdP provisioning for security and operational reasons.

       

      Suggested Solution

      The customer's IdP is MS Entra, and they are requesting to be able to provision and manage service accounts from their IdP.

       

      Why this is important

      To facilitate the customer's management of the service accounts as a resource from their IdP. minimizing overhead.

       

      Workaround

      Service accounts can only be managed from the Atlassian admin hub.
