This is a suggestion to change the way we display our "Transfer Product Checklist".
We always display a long list of items to be checked, even when most of them are already compliant, while we have specific information on what is missing via a dedicated API endpoint - but that's just not reflected in the screen, aside from button enabled/disabled.
Current scenario
When admins are going for the Transfer All Products option under organization Settings, a static list of 9 items is displayed on top of the button:
Before you can transfer products, you’ll need to complete the transfer checklist:
- Remove your SAML single sign-on and user provisioning configurations
- Remove Google Workspace configurations
- Cancel your Atlassian Access subscription
- Cancel your Enterprise subscription by contacting support
- Remove all domains
- Remove organization API keys
- Remove IP allowlists
- Reset user access settings
- Remove all email domains
All 9 items are always displayed, independently whether they are ready or not, making it confusing for the admins to know what exactly is missing and revisiting each item over and over again until the "Transfer products" button is no longer disabled.
The links included in each entry (in bold) are useful to assist admins to quickly navigate to each of the items to be (potentially) modified, but that doesn't make it less confusing for items like "User access settings" (CLOUD-11550).
Suggested Change
Since there's a workaround to check what specifically is missing for a given org transfer (check call to endpoint https://admin.atlassian.com/gateway/api/adminhub/organization/\org-id/reparent-blockers via Network logs), we could use that to either:
- Only list the items that are pending (JSON response from this reparent-blockers endpoint)
OR - Display some green "checkmark" or red "x" next to the items to provide visual feedback and speed up the admin checklist process
