    Description

      Problem Definition

AWS' IdP is not one of Atlassian's supported SAML identity providers or supported SCIM providers. Customers must choose to try integrating using custom solutions without Atlassian's assistance or switch to a supported identity provider.

      Suggested Solution

Support AWS' IdP officially and collaborate with AWS to write guides and custom applications to ease integration with Atlassian.

      Why this is important

Customers who use AWS' IdP are not able to easily integrate with Atlassian.

      Workaround

      Teams have two choices:

      • Try and integrate Atlassian and AWS without Atlassian support
        • AWS provides a guide here on configuring custom SAML applications
        • Atlassian's available SAML attributes are listed here, which values are needed from an identity provider here and a guide on how to test SAML SSO logins on one test user are here.
        • Atlassian's user provisioning API is available here.
      • Switch to an officially supported identity provider for SAML SSO and user provisioning.
