Description
Issue Summary
The External System Import (CSV or JSON) doesn't update the Updated Date of Issues and doesn't update the change history depending on the operations and data changed.
In this example, it's adding new Issue Links.
JRASERVER-71735, for example, is about clearing a custom field.
Maybe this could be by design, but for other field updates the change history and Updated Date are updated, so the behavior's not consistent.
This is reproducible on Data Center: yes
Steps to Reproduce
- Create an Issue through the UI
- Update the Issue through CSV import, adding a link to another Issue
Expected Results
- The Issue history of both Issues would show the change record for the Link creation;
- The Updated Date on both Issues would show the import date
Actual Results
The Issues are updated but there's no entry on the change history and the Updated Date remains unchanged.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
