Description
If you create a user with the web interface, leading and trailing spaces are trimmed from the username as expected. If you create your own account using the "sign up" feature trailing spaces aren't trimmed.
This can lead to confusion if (for example) users create an account by copying and pasting their email address or username from another system and mistakenly include a space.
The expected behavior should be for the trimming to work on both the user browser and the self-signup.
