Whitespace at the end of a pasted patch are stripped off

    Description

      We're seeing this issue again with version 3.0.2.

      When I paste a patch in a pre-commit review, any trailing whitespace (i.e. the last line/s of the patch are CR/LF or contains only spaces) is stripped.
      As a result the diff shown is incorrect.
      Uploading the same patch as a file works fine.
