    Description

      Some time the indexing queue stop to flush automatically. If you start a manual indexing it works, but flushing it still stuck.

      There is a workaround (from Atlassian support) that is:

      1. Shut down your Confluence instance
      2. Go to <Confluence Home>/index
      3. Make a backup of the directory
      4. Once you have made a backup, delete the contents within the directory.
      5. Restart Confluence.
      6. Perform the Manual Indexing again.

      But it has the side effect to destroy all usage statistics!
      Moreover it has to be done every 1-2 month on our Confluence instance.

      Problem has alredy been reported here and here but was dure to the scripting macro plugin that we don't have.

      It was reported here too, but has been closed as a support issue. But it is not a configuration issue and it it occurs quite often, so it is a bug in the indexing mechanism which should be fixed.
