Description
NOTE: This bug report is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding bug report.
My first time posting an answer I did not have a display name set so it was blank. I posted an answer then I realized it posted my real name. I so quickly went to my profile to see if I could change my real name. I see that a new required field "Display Name" was added. So I added my alias and went back to the post hoping that it would be updated correctly. My real name was still shown. So I deleted my comment and reposted it thinking it was a cache issue. Even after making a new post the alias was not used.
So as a work around I changed my real name to my alias so now my real name and alias is the set to my alias.
BTW you should note that there is a note that says your personal information will never be shown to the public or something to that effect. THIS IS A LIE as my information WAS exposed.
Just so you have additional information here is my post:

I also just noticed that my real name is still stored and displayed on hover of my name and when you click my name the URL is my name

This unacceptable. I am going to delete my account from answers until this is fixed. My privacy has been violated
