    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding suggestion.

CONF-29588 and STASH-3466 both raise an issue with the use of a non-standard tab size (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tab_key) for presenting code.

Please reconsider the response to CONF-29588 which basically says either 1) code presentation is not all that important, or 2) Atlassian knows best. Alignment within code is important for documentation and readability. If Atlassian insists that a default 4-space tab is best, please allow/support an alternate in the code block widget (at least). Clearly, tabs vs spaces and tab size are preferences and I would hope that Atlassian would strive to not enforce one over the other but give customers the final say. Please develop Confluence to help customers create documentation not force them to work around arbitrary decisions like tab size.
