As a Trello user, I want the ability to skip sending a board invitation email when adding a member to a board

      User Problem

      Currently, it's not possible to add members to cards without inviting them to the board. Once invited to the board - as the users are added to cards within the board, they will receive notifications for every card they are added to. The users are notified prematurely without the board creator being able to explain context.

      Suggested Solutions

      Some potential solutions:

      • Add a checkbox that toggles whether or not the invitation email is sent in the board share menu (allows skip invitation / invite email)
      • Allow users to be added to cards, even if they're not a member of the board
      • Provide an option to send invitation emails post adding the users
      • Provide an option to globally turn off the board's notifications while its being built

      Current Workarounds

      None at this time
